cribb helps you discover furniture and decor that matches your style. To do that well, we collect some information about how you use the app. This page explains what we collect, why, and what we do with it — in plain language.
What we collect
Account information. If you create an account, we store your email address and the profile details you choose to add.
Your taste profile. Your Vibe Check answers and the style preferences we infer from them, plus optional details like budget range and home type. You can browse and take the Vibe Check without an account; in that case this data is tied to an anonymous identifier stored in your browser, not to your identity.
Activity. Products you view, like, save, dismiss, or search for, and when you click through to a retailer. This powers your personalized feed and suggestions.
Technical basics. A randomly generated session identifier, general device type (phone, tablet, desktop), and data stored in your browser's local storage so your preferences survive a page reload.
What we use it for
Personalizing your feed and suggestions, understanding which styles and products people respond to so we can improve cribb, and measuring that the app works as intended. That's it. We do not sell your personal information.
Retailer links and commissions
cribb is free because we may earn a commission when you buy something through links to the retailers we feature. When you click through to a retailer, that retailer or its affiliate network can tell the click came from cribb, and their own privacy policy applies from that point on. Commissions never change the price you pay.
Where your data lives
Data is stored with our infrastructure provider, Supabase, which hosts our database and authentication. We don't share your personal information with third parties except the service providers that run the app, and as described in the retailer-links section above.
Cookies and local storage
We use browser local storage (not advertising cookies) to remember things like your quiz results and session identifier. Clearing your browser storage resets these. Signing in uses secure authentication tokens managed by our auth provider.
Your choices
You can use most of cribb without an account. You can retake the Vibe Check anytime to replace your style profile, and adjust preferences on the My Vibe page. To delete your account and its data, email us at ryanfuchs4@gmail.com and we'll take care of it.
Kids
cribb isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information.
Changes
If this policy changes in a meaningful way, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
